Mystery Photo and Lake Superior

After a 13 hour drive from Lancaster,Ohio I found myself on the shores of Lake Superior (near the end of the earth LOL)

 For this Watery Wednesday post I’ll start with a “MYSTERY” photo.. Take a second to try and figure out what this is a photo of.. HINT: not obvious and not what you might think..

mysteryphto Answer at end of post.. (None of my Facebook friends got it right.

Sunrise over the Huron Islands Upper Peninsula of Michigan.”The Huron Islands are a group of eight small, rocky islands in Lake Superior, located about three miles offshore from the mouth of the Huron River in northwestern Marquette County, Michigan. Bald eagles also nest here”

“Lake Superior has a surface area of 31,820 square miles (82,413 km2),[1] which is approximately the size of South Carolina. It has a maximum length of 350 miles (563 km) and maximum breadth of 160 miles (257 km). Its average depth is 482 feet (147 m) with a maximum depth of 1,332 feet (406 m).[1] Lake Superior contains 2,900 cubic miles (12,100 km³) of water. There is enough water in Lake Superior to cover the entire land mass of North and South America with 1 foot (30 cm) of water.[6] The shoreline of the lake stretches 2,726 miles (4,387 km) (including islands).”

The shoreline shot seems to extend forever...

Feeling rather ducky?
Here’s what I would do:
Find a pond or puddle,
One that’s right for you;
Take a sturdy life vest,
Strap it on your back;
Jump into the puddle,
Give a little quack!

Great shots!
My guess was close. I guessed a cracked windshield... only because I was once the proud owner of one that looked like that.
Happy Watery Wednesday!

I thought that photo was a close-up of a blue kitchen sponge!
I, living where I do, should be familiar with "dust on windshields"!

Your trip to the 'end of the world' was beautiful! We never worry too much about dirt roads and dust either -- you can always wash your car later.
