The Truth About The Christmas Angel….

MERRY CHRISTMAS MERRY CHRISTMAS MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM LANCASTER,OHIO……

DSC_0085 (2)a

Not very many people know this::

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.
Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.
When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.
Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.
Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.
Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.
The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?'
And thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.
Not very many people know this.

ADAMANDEVE1

“When God created Adam and Eve, He said:
I only have two gifts:...
One is the art of peeing standing ...And then Adam stepped forward and shouted: ME!, ME!, ME!,
I would love it please ... Lord, please, please!
Look, it will make my life substantially easier.
Eve nodded, and said those things did not matter to her. Then God gave Adam the gift and he began to shout for joy. He ran through the garden of Eden and used it to wet all the trees and bushes, ran down the beach making drawings with his pee in the sand ...
Well, he would not stop showing off.
God and Eve watched the man crazy with happiness and Eve asked God: What is the other gift? '  God answered:
Eve,..... a brain ... and it is for you ...!”

THANKSGIVING

“On December 4, 1619 settlers stepped ashore at Berkeley Hundred along the James River and, in accordance with the proprietor's instruction that "the day of our ship's arrival ... shall be yearly and perpetually kept as a day of thanksgiving," celebrated the first official Thanksgiving Day.

In the fall of 1621, the Pilgrims held a celebration to give thanks to God for his bounty and blessings. This occasion was the origin of the traditional Thanksgiving as we know it today.”

Berkeley Plantation was originally called Berkeley Hundred and named after the Berkeley Company of England. ….

Among the many American "firsts" that occurred at Berkeley Plantation are:

  • The first official Thanksgiving: 4 December 1619
  • The first bourbon whiskey distilled: 1621, by George Thorpe, an Episcopal priest.
  • First time Army bugle call "Taps" played: July 1862, by bugler Oliver W. Norton; the melody was written at Harrison's Landing, the plantation's old wharf, by Norton and then General Daniel Butterfield Read More

It’s a beautiful fall November day with the temps in the mid 50’s . For me it is the kind of day that screams “Road Trip”.

In July 1863, a fast-moving Confederate army swept across the Ohio, stopping at every farm and home to steal horses and food.

Ten Rules For Being Human

MQTlogoa A Quality Time Book Review.. If Life is a Game These are the Rules

“The challenge of Rule One is to make peace with your body, so
that it can effectively serve its purpose and share its valuable lessons
of acceptance, self-esteem, respect, and pleasure. Everyone must
learn these basic principles before he is able to journey successfully
through life.” If Life Is a Game, These Are the Rules

rule8

“Every person creates his or her own reality. Authorship of your life is one of your absolute rights; yet so often people deny that they
have the ability to script the life they desire. They often use the excuse that they cannot do what they want to do or get what they desire in life because they lack the resources to do it. They look past the fundamental truth that it is not our external resources that determine our success or failure, but rather our own belief in ourselves and our willingness to create a life according to our highest aspirations. You can either engage in the blame game, making frequent use of the statement, "I couldn't b e c a u s e . . . " or you can take control of your life and shape it as you would like.”

joetoddsays  An interesting book filled with insight and suggestions. “Life” is not necessarily a “walk in the park” and there is in my opinion no “magic button” to fix everything. I do feel there is a lesson behind everything that happens in our life as this book demonstrates so well…. Rating 8 out of 10…. I will now end the post with a Quality Time Photo taken at my favorite golf course.
