He was definitely one of the good guys wasn't he! Really hadn't known a whole lot about him until we visited the TR National Park and then got very interested, read several bios.

I had always wondered why they chose him to be one of the faces on Mt Rushmore -- I hadn't even realized how much he was responsible for our wonderful National Park System.

Great photography...did that one cloud 'bump' the windshield ? I too like Theodore and consider The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt the best biography I have read.

Very cool post, Joe! I LOVE the Grand Canyon, and we hiked it once down from the South Rim and out the North (another time it was strictly in and out on the South Rim)Love the Teddy Roosevelt quotes too, especially the one about kicking yourself for causing yourself trouble! Boy, isn't that the truth! I have been trying to catch up with people I largely ignored last year during a bad off-again-on-again dry spell due to some personal issues. Somehow I hadn't gotten around to you, and I am so sorry! SOOO glad you came by to visit again! LOVE your header. Knew right where it was when I saw it and it is perfect for Easter weekend. Glad you loved mine too. I plan to do an entire post about San Xavier some time in the near future. Have a great Easter! God bless!
