The fact is, none of us truly wins, until we all win! #wisdom #story #farmer #fun #Ohio

 This Could Be Old Dan Tucker

There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year, he won the award for the best grown corn.
One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it.
The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors.
“How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked.
“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field.
If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn.
If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”
So is with our lives…Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches.
And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.
Call it power of collectivity…
Call it a principle of success…
Call it a law of life.
The fact is, none of us truly wins, until we all win!

Hope Everyone Has A Great Day...

So Much #Wisdom..... “Wisdom is oft-times nearer when we stoop Than when we soar.” Daffodils and More

Today's Quotes:::  “The best portion of a good man's life: his little, nameless unremembered acts of kindness and love.”

“Wisdom is oft-times nearer when we stoop
Than when we soar.”
"Life is divided into three terms - that which was, which is, and which will be. Let us learn from the past to profit by the present, and from the present, to live better in the future."
"The education of circumstances is superior to that of tuition."
“With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things.”
"Strongest minds are often those whom the noisy world hears least."
― William Wordsworth

Dust If You Must... "If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail."... (Ad hominem) .. Can You Smell The Color 9? LEVART & TRAVEL SYWATCH FRIDAY Butchart Gardens Canada

SkyWatch Friday Near End Of Post

Dust If You Must
by Rose Milligan.
Artist Chris Dunn.
Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture, or write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed;
Ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;
Music to hear, and books to read;
Friends to cherish, and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go (and go you must)
You, yourself, will make more dust

Today's Quotes "If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail."
“What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself.”
“I can feel guilty about the past, apprehensive about the future, but only in the present can I act. The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness.”
“The most fortunate are those who have a wonderful capacity to appreciate again and again, freshly and naively, the basic goods of life, with awe, pleasure, wonder and even ecstasy.”
"One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again."
"All of life is education and everybody is a teacher and everybody is forever a pupil."
― Abraham Maslow..............

What It Is Like To Be Old.... Grace & Love At The Old Barn... What Kind Of Squat Are You? The Secret of Pie... Our spirits are eternal. Our souls are forever... My Quality Time Blog.. #Wisdom #Jokes #Travel

 Don't Let The Old Man In....

Clint Eastwood. Forever a legend.

I asked an elderly man once what it was like to be old and to know the majority of his life was behind him.
He told me that he has been the same age his entire life. He said the voice inside of his head had never aged. He has always just been the same boy. His mother's son.
He had always wondered when he would grow up and be an old man.
He said he watched his body age and his faculties dull but the person he is inside never got tired. Never aged. Never changed.
Our spirits are eternal. Our souls are forever.
The next time you encounter an elderly person, look at them and know they are still a child, just as you are still a child
and children will always need love, attention and purpose.

Today's Quotes::: “The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.”
“All human nature vigorously resists grace because grace changes us and the change is painful.”
“Where you come from is gone, where you thought you were going to was never there, and where you are is no good unless you can get away from it. Where is there a place for you to be? No place... Nothing outside you can give you any place... In yourself right now is all the place you've got.”
“Accepting oneself does not preclude an attempt to become better.”
“I write to discover what I know.”
"A God you understood would be less than yourself."
― Flannery O'Connor

You come from dust, and to dust you will return. That’s why I don’t dust. It could be someone I know.

Love At The Old Barn.......

Just down the road around the bend, Stands an old empty barn nearing the end. It has sheltered no animals for many years, No dairy cows, no horses, no sheep, no steers.  * The neigh of a horse the low of a cow, Those sounds have been absent for some time now. There was a time when the loft was full of hay, and the resounding echoes of children at play.  * At one time the paint was a bold shade of red, Gradually faded by weather and the sun overhead. The doors swing in the wind, the hinges are loose, Window’s and siding have taken much abuse.  * The fork, rope and pulleys lifted hay to the mow, A task that always brought sweat to the brow. But those good days are gone forever it seems, And that old barn now stands with sagging beams. It is now home to pigeons, rats and mice, The interior is tattered and doesn’t look very nice. Old, abandoned barns have become a trend, Just down the road and around the bend. Unknown
