What a nice day; wish we could have more weeks during the fall such as the one that we just had!

If I were sitting on that bench, I'd be hoping that Autumn would just stay a little while longer.... It's been so gorgeous this year --and I hate to see it leave...

I was thinking exactly what Betsy said, practically verbatim... I love Autumn!

I would be just setting there soaking in the sun and warmth while it lasted and trying very hard not to think of what might be needed done at home. LOL! On the bench along the upper trail of Old Mans Cave my daughter and I listen for the owls calling to one another in the gorge below. They did that one day and we listened and listened but have not heard them again since.

If I were sitting on that park bench, I would be enjoying the day, hopefully sipping on a cup of Starbuck's Latte and watching the world go by!
Love all the photos!

I'd probably be trying not to think too much; just smile and breathe and be thankful.

Great stuff, Joe!

If I were sitting there I would admire the lovely fall foliage and then take out my camera to photograph it!

What I would be thinking depends on the bench, on the park, on the view and on the weather . I always think something else!On that bench in the park above I would think :"Wow I am actually in Amerika!! Lucky me!" Thanks for your visit!

Thank you for posting this picture of The Arboretum. I work there in Horticulture but have a hard time getting outside to see the beauty around me. Pictures like yours allow me to see the grounds through visitors' eyes. I suspected it was a Dawes photo, from the cages & legacy posts in the photo! I sometimes think Lancaster is not too aware of our location so we are always glad to have the word spread about what we have to offer.

I could never sleep in such a place, and I wouldn't be likely to sit long either. I would no doubt by walking about and looking at the autumn leaves.

I'd be thinking that if I had a thermos of coffee sitting next to me ... I could sit there forever!

Lovely photo ... thanks for sharing it with us!
