Winter Skies over Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus,Ohio

Winter Skies over Franklin Park Conservatory Columbus,Ohio. A quick day trip from Lancaster,Ohio

First post of 2013 a Sky Watch Friday Post..The weather outside was pretty cold , but things warmed up inside with visits to the Desert and Palm House…..

While visiting the Conservatory I had the chance to Discover artist Aurora Robson.
Robson’s vibrant and intricate works created from discarded materials are on view within the Conservatory’s plant collections and in the Cardinal Health Gallery. This will be an upcoming post.

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers enriching and memorable experiences inspired by art, culture and the botanical world.

"NavStar ’92" -08 (Artist : Stephen Canneto) 3 Sculptures representing the sails of Columbus’ ships

“Winter morning Cold frost and sunshine: day of wonder! But you, my friend, are still in slumber -
Wake up, my beauty, time belies:You dormant eyes, I beg you, broaden Toward the northerly Aurora,As though a northern star arise!” Alexandr Pushkin (1799-1837)

“Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.”

Вечор, ты помнишь, вьюга злилась,
На мутном небе мгла носилась;
Луна, как бледное пятно,
Сквозь тучи мрачные желтела,
И ты печальная сидела -
А нынче... погляди в окно:  Read More
