After feasting on apples all morning I’ll rest for awhile.
Photo taken 8/28/2017 about noon… The deer has been in the backyard for a couple hours now.
Hiding out behind what is left of the tomato patch.
Two hunters were dragging their dead deer back to their car. Another hunter approached pulling his along too.
"Hey, I don't want to tell you how to do something ... but I can tell you that it's much easier if you drag the deer in the other direction. Then the antlers won't dig into the ground."
After the third hunter left, the two decided to try it.
A little while later one hunter said to the other, "You know, that guy was right. This is a lot easier!"
"Yeah, but we're getting farther from the truck," the other added.
Come on in. There is enough for everyone.
Hope everyone has a great day and please remember:

Love the deer photos. They are not well liked by farmers and perhaps those who have apple trees, but they are ok in my book. Oh, and that's my kind of roughing it. :)
So many goodies in your garden, no wonder they like to visit.
Great and funny visit of these cute critters; for sure they enjoyed apples! have a nice week and trip, too!
Beautiful deer. We see deer in our yard in the winter, when food is scarce, and they come to eat the ornamental crabapples from a tree in our front yard. It's our winter hobby, deer viewing, and I take pictures every year. Of course they're pretty much all the same, but I always get excited and take pictures anyway.
And the hunter story was funny, indeed. But my eye was caught by the words in your header: "all men are created equal...endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights...Life, Libery and the Pursuit of Happineness" and I am once more saddened that your country, where recently these words were to live by, but seem no longer to be so. Hatred has no place in those inalienable rights, and yet so many people are at war with their countrymen, and so many are being denied those no-longer-inalienable rights.
Very sad, but of course this Canadian has no real right to protest, but I can't help thinking of a certain blond-haired person, waving and saying "Have a good time" from the steps of his jet as it prepared to leave Houston. Oh, there was a hurricane, and a terrible flood, but he says everyone is having a good time.
There. I've run off at the mouth (or keyboard) sufficiently for one day. I know you have the choice to approve or disapprove these words, and that is an inalienable right in my book, and I can only hope that you've read my words, at least.
