A Quality Time “Wandering” at Virginia’s most historic plantation. (Part of our trip to Williamsburg & Jamestown)
This is the site of the first Thanksgiving, the place where "Taps" was written and played, the site of the first commercial shipyard, and many other things. History buffs & non history buffs will enjoy.
All of the first 10 presidents have stepped foot inside this building. President Harrison lived inside this building. A signer of the Declaration of Independence lived inside this building. (Note: entrance to the basement museum.The museum is small but worth seeing.)

This Georgian mansion built in 1726 occupies a beautiful site overlooking the James River.
In this graveyard is buried Col. Benjamin Harrison V. Dec. 13, 1730- Apr. 24 1791. Signer of the Declaration Of Independence

Linda and I did not have lunch at this tavern though we went inside and looked around.
You may or may not know, I’m always hungry. So for lunch..
