It wasn't until the 1964 Civil Rights Act that all public accommodations nationwide were desegregated. 1964 was the year I graduated from high school. Today I find it hard to imagine.

There is an  International Civil Rights Center and Museum that uses the former F.W. Woolworth store in downtown Greensboro to remind people what segregation was like and how change was wrought in the way African-Americans were treated every day of their lives. READ MORE

Panties Put To Good Use In Lancaster, Ohio

Hundreds of panties that turned up mysteriously last summer in trees along an Ohio road will be going up in another unusual place: on a pedestrian bridge over the Ohio River. READ MORE

"Purple People Bridge," connects Pete Rose Way in Cincinnati to Third Street in Newport. The panties, were found hanging around the intersection of Crawfis and Savage Hill roads in August in one of Fairfield County's most bizarre moments of 2011.

What is it all about???? 3,000 littered panties will be used as part of cancer awareness display in Cincinnati. Read the whole article in the Lancaster Eagle Gazette

Spiritual Sunday

1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.

2] So why is a Car's WINDSHIELD so large and the Rear view Mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead and Move on.

3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4] All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.

5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!

6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!"

100_6052 Be Happy

7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.

8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"

9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES, it takes away today's PEACE.

Northern Indiana Skies For SkyWatch Friday

SPENT SOME TIME IN INDIANA Wish I could get outside to see the skies but I robbed to many banks. Who am I ?…. Hint: I spent  a lot of time in Indiana and Illinois a few years back.

Look closely…

Don Quixote: Dost not see? A monstrous giant of infamous repute whom I intend to encounter.
Sancho Panza: It's a windmill.
Don Quixote: A giant. Canst thou not see the four great arms whirling at his back?
Sancho Panza: A giant?
Don Quixote: Exactly.

JOETODDSAYS210 Thanks for stopping by and make sure to visit SkyWatch Friday. More on the monstrous giant of infamous repute in a future post. (Bank robber in first photo)
