EARTH ANGEL SUPER CRUISE-IN AND CAR SHOW LANCASTER,OHIO

LANCASTER,OHIO SUMMER 2010 for That’s My World Tuesday

There is a lot going on in Lancaster this summer. A couple really great events kept me busy and I always like to take photos.

FRAMED1

Frank & Ernest I did have a chance to go to both events but for the purpose of this post I’ll share some photos from the car show. The Gus Macker Basketball tournament took place in downtown Lancaster and the car show was at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. In the previous post the photo of the “summer fountain” shows people attending the basketball tournament taking a break.

The mission of the Earth Angel Foundation of Ohio is to send terminally and/or life threatening ill children on dream vacations. Visit their site and be a Dream Maker.

The History: The Earth Angel founder, Denny Erwin, along with two central Ohio car clubs, The Corvettes of Lancaster and the Mid-Ohio Cruisers, joined forces to send terminally ill children on dream vacations to any destination within the continental United States. The year was 1987. CLICK to read more or CLICK for a short video ad for the show.

Well I’ll finish this post with some tractor and truck photos.

Even though it was HOT and HUMID everything was peaceful

Now you know the rest of the story.

MADMAX  Joe Todd reporting from the show maybe a little frazzled (worn around the edges LOL)

What great cars Joe. Too pretty to drive. The flames are neat on them but I like the old cop car LOL!

The Earth Angels are wonderful to provide dream vacations to the terminally ill! I can support that!

Love the joke. Some days I would LOVE to have that seat belt in my car. :)

There is a lot of variety at the car show -- police car, tractors, trucks, etc. My stepdaughter would like the vehicles that have flames on them. She owns a motorcycle that has flames on it.

Very nice pictures of the show -- and what a great cause they're working toward.

Also I keep meaning to tell you that I'm enjoying the comics. The Ft Myers newspaper has the worst comics pages I've ever seen, no kidding! And I keep forgetting to log on to the comics web sites that I have.

Fun time, Joe. We have similar things in Muskoka. http://mymuskoka.blogspot.com

Our house is on the market, though and will be moving closer to grandkids sometime...
