“The Lightning is a yellow Fork
From Tables in the sky
By inadvertent fingers dropt
The awful Cutlery

And never quite concealed
The Apparatus of the Dark
To ignorance revealed.”

What a wonderful shot of the lightening Joe! I am tired of these storms already. I am losing too many trees.

Lightning's gorgeous as long as 1) you're indoors and 2) it doesn't strike your house! Nice shot--and happy birthday.

Great shot! We have had a couple of very long lightning storms here, but I did not manage to get any pictures.

Fantastic photo! I know how hard it is to get good lightning shots, as I've only captured a handful despite many attempts.

You know, Joe, we rarely get lightning here in western Oregon, and I miss it, but at least not having it makes life a little bit safer, and, of course, we rarely get tornadoes either. In fact, I've lived here since 1986, and I don't know that one has ever touched the ground, although one or two have been sighted in the air.

Oh, perfect! For that capture of lightening you need to have a lot of sky!
