Happy Birthday Robert Frost (March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963)

A My Quality Time Post linking to N.F. Waters and Our World Tuesday

Frost is the solid deposition of water vapor from saturated air. It is formed when solid surfaces are cooled to below the dew point of the adjacent air as well as below the freezing point of water. CLICK to read more.

The first few photos were taken on the back deck of my house in Lancaster,Ohio on  the morning of 3/01/2011. This year we have had quite  a warm spell..like in the 80’s last week.

framedfrost "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." Robert Frost

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself." Robert Frost

"Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.” R.F.

frost3 "I'm not confused. I'm just well mixed." R.F.

"Forgive me my nonsense as I also forgive the nonsense of those who think they talk sense." R.F. (LOL)

“Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 ft (1,917 m). It is famous for its dangerously erratic weather, and long held the record for the highest wind gust directly measured at the Earth's surface, 231 mph (372 km/h) (or 103 m/s), on the afternoon of April 12, 1934.” WIKIPEDIA

todddeck Thanks for stopping by and make sure to visit N.F. Waters..and.. Our World Tuesday. In this photo the far horizon is the reflection of the sun off the Atlantic Ocean and yes it was cold.

A special thanks to Mr. Frost. Robert Lee Frost (March 26, 1874 – January 29, 1963) was an American poet. He is highly regarded for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech.

I love Robert Frost. I do NOT like frost frost, but your pictures are lovely. We saw places in Vermont where he had lived....thanks for the quotes and the reminder to read some Frost tomorrow.

Lovely quotes from Robert Frost. I am hoping we are done with the frost around here, but we are expecting a cold night and early morning tomorrow.

Hi Jo! Wonderful post! I love the ice crystals photographs and the pics on Mt. Washington! The quotes by Robert Frost were also very good. He and Carl Sandburg and Mark Twain...they could all make a point in a few words! Very nice!

Beautiful captures of the frost!! I think my favourite is the shot of the chain link fence!!
And thank you for the quotations - the first one strikes a chord for me. A dear friend passed away on Saturday (at the age of 103), and I appreciate the sentiment.

My one and only poet, and poem,

2 roads meet, I took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.

It really applied to my life.
