PUMPKIN AND BEACH POSTS LATER THIS MONTH PLUS MORE OF THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY FAIR IN LANCASTER OHIO.
Had to go to the archives for pictures of the SCHOONER MARGARET TODD for this weeks SKY WATCH FRIDAY (ENJOY)
SKIES ARE CLOUDY IN LANCASTER, OHIO
The Afternoon Sail at 2:00 p.m. is generally a livelier, more exhilarating sail among the islands of Frenchman Bay, because of the stronger afternoon sea breezes. Relax, have a picnic or help us hoist the sails!
For a little history of THE SCHOONER MARGARET TODD just click.
The women raising the sails. That is my wife Linda (A VERY HOT WOMAN) on the left. She actually sprained her back doing this chore.
“The Margaret Todd carries nine sails on her four masts. The large sails are called, from front to back, the foresail, mainsail, mizzensail, and spankersail. (These sails are named after the mast which carries it). The five smaller sails are the jib topsail, inner and outer jibs, staysail and the spanker topsail.”
If you look closely there are some skies in the photos. Make sure to go to SKY WATCH FRIDAY for great photos from all over the world. Thanks for stopping by Joe Todd
