FROM BLIZZARD TO SUNSHINE WITH A LITTLE GOLF AND FISHING

This video of the Blizzard of 1977 starts slow but is really interesting. ( Jimmy Carter was President)( The announcer says, “If your stranded in your car stay there don’t panic you could get killed out there.” “You will be rescued.”) ( Wind Chill between –40 & –60 degrees.) (29 Deaths)

Well we have snow and Gray/Grey skies in Ohio but nothing like the above video portrays. My wandering road trip is to warmer climes, Hilton Head S.C. where I hope to play some golf and do a little fishing. Accuweather says days high temps for the area should be high 50’s low 60’s… Puts a smile on my face.

Will be playing the Arthur Hill,Trent Jones, and Fazio golf courses at Palmetto dunes

Hope to take a lot of photos and see the sun and some blue sky.

Hi Joe, we are due to get another 10 inches of snow tonight, this sure is a long winter!

About your comment about my blog template. Well it's actually the same one as you have here, but I made some personal tweaks. First of all mine was just like yours, but then I googled the name of this template as 'Rounders 3 column template?' (not sure rounders is correct tho off top of head). I found the instructions as to how to make it 3 column and followed them. It was not easy but I got it done.

Then I went into settings - fonts & colors and just personalized all the shades a little. Voila my own personal look, but very achievable with some work.

Have fun on your trip.

Just a Guys trip. Sweetie is staying home. I'm pretty sure she has made some plans. At any rate I'm smart enough to be back for Valentines Day LOL

That first video is amazing. I remember that storm however we did not get impacted by it...I was living in Ottawa at the time. We used to get snow like that but it has been so scarse in recent years that we forget. I used to love those great storms when I was a kid...different priorities I guess. Have a wonderful trip and have fun.

Have a great trip south. Soak up the sun and warmth because you might not get much of that when you return home!

I hope you have a good time. We are expecting our biggest winter snowstorm yet in a few days here around Detroit.

Wow, that video is amazing.. I would have been 16 at that time. Funny, I don't remember that blizzard in the news. Probably because I was 16, LOL. My attention was most likely elsewhere. :-)

Hope you have a great time down south!!!

That's some amazing video coverage! I remember the blizzard of '77. Lucky for us, we were living in the lake effect area of southern Lake Michigan. It was bad enough.

Hope you have a grand golfing and fishing vacation.

Thanks for visiting my Outdoor Wednesday post last week. I'm behind in making the rounds to visit.

Wonderful Trace Adkins/West Point Cadet Glee Club video. Gave me chills!

Oh, how I remember some of those blizzards. We have not had a good one in the last five or six years here. Golf is off here for a couple more months. Rub it in.
