One of our favorite hikes is the Cemetery Ridge Trail in Clear Creek Metro Park. I have done several posts relating to Clear Creek: Weekend Reflections at Clear Creek Metro Park, CLEAR CREEK METRO PARK FOR WATERY WEDNESDAY,Clear Creek Metro Park-Mathias Cabin-Spider Webs are just a few.. For this post I’ll show some of the early fall color and “things” of interest along the trail..and throw in some quotes from Rumi..  Enjoy
DSC_0107 As some of you may know I’ve been doing a lot of walking for health reasons and it paid off this past weekend. The Cemetery Ridge trail isn’t the easiest but I did ok and really enjoyed the hike/picnic.
DSC_0104 Actually, we combined the Fern Trail—Cemetery Ridge Trail and returned on The Creekside Meadows Trail.

Who is Rumi ?????? rumi Also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī (جلال‌الدین محمد رومی), and more popularly in the English-speaking world simply as Rumi (30 September 1207 – 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian Muslim poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic. (Just had a birthday) I first learned about Rumi from visiting THIS website. From Amazon

An interesting selection of photographs - nature can cetainly be very decorative:) I love the beetles picture you shared on MoM. Even though it is slightly creepy (they crawl!) it is very beautiful - the vivid orange and and black and the shiny surfaces are fantastic!
Thank you for being part of Mandarin Orange Monday:)

It was 5km up Blueberry Mountain. (Post and report sometime soon!)

Good for you - I love the photos. Your header is wonderful. This is the time of year for colour.

Lovely photos, Joe. You and your missus sure do get about. I went to Portland (110 miles distant) with Peggy last week, and couldn't remember how long it had been since I had traveled so far, yet we used to stay on the road for two months at a time, and still didn't want to return home. I guess I got the travel bug out of me, and now I wonder if it will ever return. Peggy still goes places, but she either goes alone to see her family, or else she travels with a friend, and that works well for both of us because I miss her, but the alone time is nice too.
